- Digital Citizenship

The internet is a powerful tool that can be used to help us, but it can also be used to hurt us. These are some of the internet dangers facing young people today and how we can combat those dangers.

Key Learning Outcomes:

This website aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to use ICT safely, responsibly, and ethically. Students will develop an understanding of how digital actions influence their online identity and reputation. They will learn to evaluate information critically, applying safe online practices, and demonstrate responsible digital citizenship in both academic and social contexts.

What is Digital citizenship?

  • Digital citizenship is the ability to engage safely, responsibly and respectfully in the digital world- including how we communicate, protect our information, and treat others online.

Understanding how to stay safe, respectful and ethical online helps students build a positive reputation, avoid harm, and contribute to a respectful online ComUnity. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness.

2)In pairs or in a small group, talk about what each steps means.

3)Choose one step and create a mini poster, or a short play showing how to use that step in a real-life online situation.

4) Present your example to the class and explain why it's important.
